I was watching Bridezillas and couldn't help but be disgusted and strangely entertained at the same time when I saw the temper tantrums the soon-to-be brides were throwing on national tv over the most ridiculous details.
Their dress wasn't right, the cake didn't have enough icing, the bridesmaid was late and a plethora of other unexpected things that sent the main lady into an emotional tailspin.
Um... if a woman can't even handle planning the wedding without having a breakdown, what makes her or the groom think she'll be able to handle the trials of the actual marriage?
I couldn't believe that in the end, the wedding still went through. When a soon-to-be husband is being called every name in the book, is being disrespected in front of millions and has a whining baby losing her mind over a ceremony... shouldn't that be enough to re-evaluate the person he's getting hitched to? And shouldn't that be a sign for her that she has more growing to do before taking such a huge leap?
People need to read the signs a little better early in relationships before merging lives in permanent ways.
